It is good of you to visit with me.
“Who am I?” you ask.
I am Elsaida Peltier, a native of Southwest Louisiana, who developed a love of reading and writing from my mother, Cecilia Peltier. My mother was the sweetest woman to ever walk the face of this earth… to this day…I look to the heavens for motherly advice and guidance…and yes, mother dear, never fails to inspire.
Now, please, ladies and gents, don’t get quirky on me. I don’t commune with the dead…but, I do believe that we can draw inspiration from a life well-lived.
I love writing. It’s cathartic. It can be an adventure filled with thrills and chills…or…it can be a mystery…filled with intrigue and shocking surprise…or…it can be a human interest story that electrifies your emotions and storms your psyche.
As a child of the south, I draw upon my rich southern heritage and vivid imagination in developing my book characters.
IMAGINATION. CREATIVITY. BELIEF IN SELF. Three qualities necessary to begin and finish a book.
Thank you, my friends, for visiting with me. It is my privilege to have been your host.
I look forward to your continued journey with me, through your reading of my novels.
“Treachery On The Bayou” was originally published in 2005, however, it’s storyline has aged well… with its various depictions of lively and eccentric characters down on the bayou, a bit of voodoo and the supernatural, a dog named Applesauce with great devotion to her owner, and, an elegant mystery about a missing Butterfly Brooch.
“What’s Up Girlfriend?” was originally published in 1994, however, it’s basic storyline of how “women of color” cope with stressors in the workplace is still relevant in contemporary society.
Black Male was originally published in 1995, however, it’s basic storyline of “survival with dignity” still resonates in today’s society.
Black Male offers a pragmatic look and gives an endearing nod to the many teachers in the classroom, who are standing strong for their students.
